We offer a learner centered approach delivered
through small group classes and
one to one tutoring.

Training for individuals who have goals for
employment, further education and training,
or just to improve their skills
for personal reasons.

Courses 2011-2012

   Life Skills, Speaking and Listening
  
•  Math - basics, budgeting, managing data,...
  
•  Basic Computers - Intro. to computers, Basic
   Word, Basic Internet, Basic Excel
  
•  Career Training Modules - Retail, Hospitality,
   Skilled Trades Helpers & Labourers, Customer
   Service Representative, Home Health Aide,
   Small Engines, Cosmetology, Call Centre,
   Food Counter Attendants, Food Service &
   Processing, Construction Technology.
  

The Adult Learning Centre is funded by the Ministry of
Training,Colleges and Universities and works in
Literacy and Basic Skills Levels 1 - 5

ACE Program Information

The Adult Learning Centre and Northern College
entered into a partnership in January of 2007 to
deliver the ACE program in Iroquois Falls. We are
also delivering LBS programming at the Northern
College LBS site in Cochrane, preparing to bridge
clients to the ACE program. ACE stands for
Academic and Career Entrance Program.
